Review of Columbia Caged Combat 6: Unstoppable

The music of Nickleback echoes throughout the building as fans filtered into the Columbia National Guard Armory. The temperature in the building rises as steadily as the seats fill. Excitement continues to grow as the fighters can be seen kissing and hugging their loved ones. The ring girls take their turn walk around the massive warehouse, making eye contact with testosterone-filled boys. In the corner there is a local merch table with two men that look like they should be fighting tonight; they are pushing their new gear called Headshot.

July 25th Fight card coming together

Just so you know, we will be hosting another installment of COLUMBIA CAGED COMBAT on July 25th , at the National Guard Armory. The action will be as hot as ever as we have several 'grudge matches' as part of the line up. Also, thanks to Joey Parks and Keith Giles, we will have the baddest cage around once again. But this is no ordinary cage. It has a laser light show to rival a Pink Floyd concert, spot lights, fog machines, and even two remotely controlled electronic time clocks that can be seen by the entire audience! This is one bad ass cage.

The action will be as hot as ever as we have several 'grudge matches' as part of the line up. Also, thanks to Joey Parks and Keith Giles, we will have a 24' Hexagon Cage this time. But this is no ordinary cage. It has a laser light show to rival a Pink Floyd concert, spot lights, fog machines, and even two remotely controlled electronic time clocks that can be seen by the entire audience! This is one bad ass cage. Complete with LED light system posted overhead.

Armory to host MMA

For the first time, a mixed martial arts card featuring a caged octagon will take place in Columbia.

Moody’s Martial Arts is hosting its fourth MMA card as “Caged Combat” is set for 8 p.m. Friday at the National Guard Armory in Columbia.

Promoter David Moody is excited to have actual cage matches at his event after hosting the first three events without the infamous cage.

The card will feature 12 matches with 10 local fighters set to participate.
